TEXAS PUBLIC SCHOOL WEEK - MARCH 3-7

Parents,

Texas Public School Week is March 3-7. We have a lot of exciting activities to do with students and parents. The teachers are looking for volunteers to come read to their class during the week. If you would like to read to the class, please contact your child’s teacher to set up at time that would be good. The Book Fair will be going on all week. It would be a great time for your child to pick a book out to have you read to the class. The following is the schedule for the week of March 3-7. We would love to see everyone there!

Monday, March 3rd:        Reading contest starts. Your child will have a reading log to bring home and record any books he or she reads that night. You need to sign and return the log every night. The contest will last until Wednesday. The class that wins will be announced during Open House on Thursday March 6. Each grade level will have a winner and the class will win an ice cream party.

Tuesday, March 4th:   Makeovers for Moms
We want all moms to come let their child give them a makeover. Moms please bring your makeup, hair brush and any hair accessories that you might have and join us in the cafeteria at the following times.

Kindergarten: 2:30- 300pm.
1st grade:        1:30-2:00pm.
2nd grade:       2:00-2:30pm.

Wednesday, March 5th:   Designs with Dads
Dads please come and join your child in the cafeteria and let’s design some objects together. You just need to bring yourself and meet us in the cafeteria at the following time.

Kindergarten: 2:30- 300pm.
1st grade:        1:30-2:00pm.
2nd grade:       2:00-2:30pm

Thursday, March 6th:  Open House from 5:00-6:00pm. Come and visit your student’s classroom. Don’t forget to stop by the Book Fair in the library.

Friday, March 7th:  The class in each grade level that wins the reading contest will have an ice cream party.

Thanks for all you do! Please don’t forget to read with your child every night and return the reading log daily.
