I am married to the love of my life, my wife Starla.  She is my biggest supporter, a constructive critic, and my best friend. We value our family time a great deal and we have been blessed with wonderful children, Lexi, Abbye, Jerod, and Jacob.

I am entering my 29th year in Education and I am in my fifth year as Athletic Director & Head Football Coach for the Lamesa Golden Tornadoes. We have an outstanding Coaching Staff in place in every sport and we are extremely excited about the possibilities for all of our Athletes.

We believe to be successful we must:

1. Out work our opponents.
2. Out execute our opponents.
3. Play with more discipline than our opponent.
4. Play with more intelligence than our opponent.
5. Have a stronger desire to win than our opponent.
6. Play as a Team.

We work on these things with our athletes everyday. We also believe that our players, parents, community, and school would expect nothing less from us as coaches.

We also expect the young men and young women that represent the community of Lamesa and Lamesa High School in competition should always demonstrate the following:

1. A Team attitude.
2. Respect for the community of Lamesa.
3. Respect for Lamesa High School.
4. Respect for their Family.
5. Respect for the Game.
6. Respect for Officials.
7. Respect for Opponents.

It is an exciting time for Lamesa Athletics and I am thrilled to be a part of such a fine School system. We have been blessed with a committed Board of Trustees, an outstanding Administrative Team, an exceptional Teaching Staff, and Athletes that work extremely hard to get better everyday!
